"Women of God can never be like women of the world. The world has enough women who are tough; we need women who are tender. There are enough women who are coarse; we need women who are kind... We have enough women of fame and fortune; we need more women of faith." -- Margaret D. Nadauld

Run For Cover!!!

Do you ever have days where you look in the mirror and this face is looking back at you?

  • Do you ever have days that you feel like you're flying on your broomstick (instead of driving your SUV), high in the sky, spelling out the words "SURRENDER CHILDREN"
  • Do you ever have days where the best laugh you can choke out is a shrill cackle that sends those same children ducking for cover?
  • Do you ever have days where just the mention of your name sends shivers of fear down the spine of those who hear it?

Okay, it's not really that bad, but let's just say that I've been pretty grumpy lately. Instead of being the fun loving and slightly nagging Witch Valerie from Princess Bride, I've been more like the Wicked Witch of the West.
I'm working on finding Valerie again. She's in there! But until I can reel her in.....

Toto..... you're not in Kansas anymore! You'd better run!!!

I can see Lola sitting in a basket on the back of your bike as you ride away........"I'll get your pretty dog, TOO!"

Around here, they don't call me a witch but they do call me The Warden.

Oh I'm VERY FAMILIAR with those kind of days and so is anyone who knows me ; ). (I blame mine on hormones--I remember calling my doctor and telling him I needed to increase the dosage or pretty soon I wasn't going to have any friends.

Join the club my dear, join the club. My tolerance level is not exactly set at being nice right now. But like you, I'm trying, what else can be expected of us, right? Love you!!!

I've had my tail tucked between my legs because of having experienced this with you the last week-ish. :)

One of my sons called me the wicked witch of the west once...a long time ago. Apparently the mirror doesn't lie. Ha ha
